Strengthening Our Knowledge Under the Building Safety Act
Building Safety Act

Recently, directors Matt and Luke, alongside Becca, attended a dedicated Building Safety Act training course delivered by The Safety Maintenance Company at their facilities in Pudsey.
Understanding the Building Safety Act
The Building Safety Act represents one of the most significant changes to building regulation in recent decades. It places greater responsibility on those involved in the design, construction, maintenance and management of buildings — particularly higher-risk and occupied residential buildings. The course focused on clarifying duty-holder responsibilities, the “golden thread” of information, and the practical implications for contractors and specialist trades working within occupied buildings.
For RWB, this knowledge is particularly relevant to our work in fire safety, remedial construction, and building maintenance. Understanding not only what the legislation requires, but how it applies in real-world scenarios, is critical to delivering compliant, safe and well-managed projects for our clients.
Commitment from the Top
By ensuring that directors and senior team members attend formal training, RWB reinforces its commitment to competence, accountability and leadership under the Building Safety Act. This training supports our internal processes, strengthens decision-making, and ensures that compliance is embedded from project planning through to delivery and handover.
Investing in Safer Buildings
Attendance on courses such as this is part of RWB Building Solutions’ wider approach to continuous improvement. We work closely with recognised training providers and industry specialists to ensure our team is equipped with the knowledge required to operate safely, responsibly and in line with current legislation.
As building safety expectations continue to rise, our clients can be confident that RWB is proactive, informed and committed to delivering works that prioritise safety, compliance and quality at every stage.
